Re-allow access to media devices

Occasionally, accessing the media devices has been disabled. Generally, it happens because either:

  • access is blocked by default (by system level settings, for example), or
  • you have previously manually blocked Lindy from accessing media devices

In any case, re-allowing access to media devices at the browser level is fairly straighforward.

You'll have to click on the button that displays a padlock icon (your browser might show a slightly different button style). It should open a small dialog window showing some information about the website.

Make sure both Camera and Microphone access is set to Allow. You should do that while you are on the interview page, because access to media devices is granted for specific domains (like withlindy.com).

Once you have done that, the dialog window should look something like this:
